About Bishop Hill Fiber Guild
BHFG was started in 1982 by 4 women who decided to get together in each others homes to share the joy of fiber arts. The Guild has continued to grow and now has over 70 members. Our members come from all over Illinois and we even have members in Missouri and Iowa.
Our Guild is dedicated to the fiber arts as a whole. We have members who participate in all aspects of fiber arts. We are very active in the education of the public about fiber arts and helping individuals learn new skills.
The Guild sponsors a Spin-In that is help each year on the third Saturday in October. The event includes classes, venders of all kinds, spinning, knitting, weaving, fellowship, and lots of fun.
We also have members who are willing and able to tune, repair and restore spinning wheels, looms, and other fiber arts equipment.
